UCLA scientists are involved in a statewide effort to document the breeding activity of birds all over California, and they’re relying on citizen scientists to gather specific data about breeding behavior, like building nests or feeding young.
|

“Overall, soaking with vinegar or baking soda had the highest median percent reduction — about 50% — across all pesticides and produce,” said Yoshira Ornelas Van Horne, an assistant professor of environmental health sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

For the bond to appear on the ballot, the state Legislature first needs to approve Senate Bill 895, which is supported by the union representing academic workers at UC.
