The next edition of the Hammer’s critically acclaimed biennial in fall 2025 will be co-curated by Essence Harden and Paulina Pobocha. A curator at the California African American Museum, Harden is also curator of the Focus section of the upcoming edition of Frieze Los Angeles. Pobocha recently joined the Hammer as its Robert Soros Senior Curator; she was previously a curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
