A strong campuswide culture of inclusive excellence is essential if UCLA is to thrive as an institution and if we are to prepare students to succeed in an increasingly globalized world. With this in mind, we are announcing a structural change within our university and the evolution of our Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion into the new Office of Inclusive Excellence. Our search for a vice provost to head the office will include listening sessions with the Bruin community this fall. Read my message to the campus community.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive’s Science Fiction Against the Margins series continues tomorrow with a program imagining an era in which these discarded materials take their own course, at times seeking revenge against their creators. Admission is free; no advance reservations. Seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
