The UCLA Film & Television Archive participates in this annual day dedicated to celebrating and preserving silent movies with a newly restored version of The Love Light. The 1921 film, written by Frances Marion and starring Mary Pickford, has been returned to its original beauty and has a new orchestral score commissioned by the Mary Pickford Foundation. Admission is free. No advance reservations; seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Three UCLA PST Art projects come alive starting this weekend including the latest from the ArtSci Center “Atmosphere of Sound” exhibition with works from two eco-acoustic artists — UCLA alumni Katie Grinnan and Amber Stucke opening in the California Nanosystems Gallery today. Their pieces are intimate, intentional and invite us to consider our relationships to plants and animals through sound.
