“Silent Echoes,” opening tomorrow at 2 p.m. through Oct. 5, is an installation by renowned sound artist Bill Fontana, inviting us to listen deeply to a world in flux. Featuring sounds from Notre Dame’s bells and Austria’s Dachstein Glacier, Fontana’s work explores the relationship between environment and sound. Join a soundwalk with the artist on opening day. It is the first in a series of exhibitions reflecting on the climate crisis, and also features an interactive campus map with artist-curated soundwalks.
